A more auspicious calendar concurrence couldn't be imagined. I had a date with a lovely young lady and we watched Ocean's 13. I think perhaps my luck is about to change...maybe I should be kicking a tree when I say that.

It's only Watazumi, the primary Shintoh ocean shrine for all of Japan. I stayed in a cottage 100 metres up the road in an empty campground. And no, I didn't actually swim. It's one of those staged "artistic" photographs. The tide was in but the water was too shallow and the bottom was full of oyster shells and looked pretty squelchy.
